Miss. Sabath

I am the 6th grade math and 7-8th grade science gifted intervention specialist at Middle School North. This is my first year teaching in any district and I am happy it is with Groveport Madison Schools. Last May, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with my Bachelor of Science in Education. My two concentrations are Mathematics and Science. I had the privilege of student teaching at Berwick Alternative K-8 in Columbus City Schools last year. This year, I am continuing working towards my gifted licensure at Cleveland State University, and I hope to begin my Masters soon after. When I am not teaching, I am usually cheering on the Buckeyes or spending time with my friends and family.

Why I Teach

Ever since I was young, I have always loved school and wanted to pursue a career as an educator. I have felt inspired to help others succeed in the subject areas I am most passionate about. My main inspirations have come from some of my previous teachers who helped me strive to become the best version of myself. I hope to continue this legacy with the students of GMMSN. The joy I get from teaching is a feeling like no other and truly makes me excited to see the positive impacts that have been taking place in the lives of my students.

Analyzing Wavelengths

My 7th grade science students got to create and analyze wavelengths they made using a variety of objects, including themselves! From this, they had both a hands-on and visual aspect of learning, being able to determine different items in a wave such as, sound pitches, frequency and amplitudes. They had a blast working together and completing this lesson.
