NOVEMBER FEATURE TEACHER 2016-2017

Miss. Winebrenner

I am the 8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra teacher at Middle School North. This is my very first year working in any district. In May of this year, I graduated from THE Ohio State University with my Bachelors of Education. My two concentrations are Mathematics and English language arts. I had the privilege of student teaching at Arts Impact Middle School in Columbus City Schools. Next year, I hope to begin my Masters in Technology at Bowling Green.

Why I Teach

I have always loved school. I loved gaining new knowledge and sharing this knowledge with my friends and family. I always knew I would be a lifelong learner. During my senior year of high school was when it seemed to click. I was given the opportunity to tutor middle schoolers struggling in mathematics. That same year, my Varsity Volleyball coach approached me and asked me to be an assistant coach to his travel team in the winter. These two opportunities opened my eyes to my calling. Watching my tutees/athletes get better at a set of skills over time with my help was an amazing feeling.
