APRIL FEATURE TEACHER 2016-2017

Miss. Slack

I am Groveport Madison Middle North’s Intensive Support Teacher for grades 6-8. I have been working at Middle School North since the 2004-2005 school year. I began my college career at Syracuse University in upstate New York with a major in Visual and Performing Arts and as a Goalkeeper for their women’s soccer team. I transferred to The Ohio State University in the fall of 1999 where I pursued a degree in Special Education. I graduated from The Ohio State University in June of 2004.

Why I Teach

I teach because I want to help save lives. I teach because teachers’ saved my life. Everyday in teaching is never the same. As a teacher you are constantly reinventing yourself and the environments around you to achieve the greatest product from your students’.
